Gameiro still to score against Huesca... for now

The striker is aiming to break his duck against the newly promoted side

Kevin Gameiro is back in the Valencia CF squad this weekend, returning to action for the game against SD Huesca. The striker has a target in sight, which is to score against one of only three current LaLiga sides that have not received goals from the Frenchman.

Of the top flight teams, Gameiro has only missing Real Madrid, Huesca and Cadiz from his ‘hitlist.’ Whilst he has never played against the newly promoted southern Spanish side, he has featured against Huesca on one occasion: A 2-6 away win at El Alcoraz.

Coach Javi Gracia was asked about Gameiro in his pre-match press conference, and said that the forward “is going to be an important player in the future, with proven quality and characteristics that maybe other strikers don’t have.”
